e-Phit Mental Health

Developing a video recommender system and database as part of a research project. The project is dedicated to improving young people's mental wellbeing through physical activity and nutrition. It combines scientific evidence with the lived experiences of young people to create accessible, engaging content that supports mental health recovery and resilience.

Users can access a quiz that is used to personalise the content recommended to them. These choices are stored in a database for research purposes.

Sharing student projects website

Front end re-design of an existing University of Manchester website following co-design activities with students. The website was updated to reflect user preferences and to highlight the variety of different research projects undertaken by students and the benefits of sharing their experiences with others. The site is designed for students, staff and those external to the university.

Gene app

An app co-designed with the UK's South Asian community to improve genetic literacy and understanding of genetic counselling services. The app is available in both English and Urdu.

The app is underpinned with various co-design activities and published research papers. The app was developed with The University of Manchester, Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council and an NHSE genetic counsellor.

AR gallery

An Augmented Reality (AR) research poster gallery for online teaching of data visualisation principles, accessible online with a smartphone. Used for an activity where learners critique design and visualisation principles applied to the posters.
